Maybe I’m a bit early for Valentine’s day, but I’d like to flesh out a bit of our previous study of our four bodies (Physical, etheric, astral, ontic), as I wanted to introduce the idea of four different levels of love, as based on the differentiated words from the Greek : Eros (Physical body), Storge (Etheric Body), Philia (Astral body), and Agape (Ontic organization).
The Eros of the physical body level relates to physical love, or the same root as the word ‘erotic’. In the most general sense, this is the root of our life energy, and the nature of all things instinctual.
The next level relates to our etheric body, and is called Storge — this equates to the type of love between members of a family, or the type of love/friendship which young children engage in. It is tied to the functional flow of our etheric body, and how we are tied to others this way.
The third level, called Philia, relates to our astral body, and relates more to our desire function, which includes a love for things greater than our selves, such as social or political causes, or other ideals sought for humanity. The name of the city ‘Philadelphia’ is derived from this concept, and connected to their motto of “the City of brotherly love”. | Dear , This month, we're talking about Love. You might ask, what does love and medicine have to do with each other? Actually a lot!
I came to this system of medicine 25 years ago because my son was suffering with severe gut issues and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). I didn't expect to land here. Four women, in the same week, said that they'd heard of two practitioners (Patty and Rudi) nearby, who were doing homeopathy 'differently' and achieving marked successes in their practice. I thought, 'what the hell', as nothing else I'd tried had worked to address my son's suffering. I brought all my skepticism as a financial advisor to their door and was shocked and amazed when his issues completely resolved within about 6 months of Heilkunst treatment.
After about 18 months, Patty and Rudy asked if I'd speak at the largest homeopathic conference in Canada about my son's success with Heilkunst treatment. A week later, they asked me to help them open their international clinic while they prepared the course material for the Hahnemann College for Heilkunst (HCH; www.heilkunst.com). I was between contracts at the time and so I helped them to finish their contract with the British Institute of Homeopathy in Canada and to open their new school under their directorship.
