Increase in Loitering and Delinquency in the Neighborhood
|
Many people have stopped by our office to alert us of an increase in loitering and delinquency at the corner of Belmont and Broadway. Please contact 911/311 to report any public consumption or criminal activity. We are working with the police and the alderman's office to address these community concerns.

COFFEE, HIP HOP, AND MENTAL HEALTH HAS SECURED A NEW SPACE!
1051 West Belmont
Coffee, Hip Hop, and Mental Health will be moving to 1051 W. Belmont and will be aiming to open their doors in November 2021. The space will feature an after school program to help educate our youth about mental health, innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as a food pantry for CHH&MH to continue their important work in the neighborhood. We're looking forward to welcoming them into their new space!

Pat Wisdom Officially Tied Kris Bryant's Record

Wisdom matched Bryant's franchise rookie home run record with his 26th of the season in Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Phillies at Citizens Bank Park. Bryant, now with the Giants, was the first to congratulate Wisdom on the feat -- albeit a few days early.

It’s been 42 days since Kris Bryant last stepped foot on Wrigley Field after the beloved Cub was traded to the Giants on July 30.
This homecoming was special, that’s for sure. The Cubs deemed it “Kris Bryant Day” on Friday when Bryant returned to the friendly confines. The crowd was full of number 17 jerseys and posters with messages welcoming Bryant back.

Fitness Series Presented by Advocate Health Care at Gallagher Way

Lakeview’s historic Music Box Theatre will host seven free movies at Gallagher Way, beginning at 7:30 p.m., with gates opening at 6 p.m. Food and beverages will be available for purchase at each showing from surrounding restaurants and on-site concessions stands. Howard Brown Health announced a multi-year expansion plan to better serve its current and future patients. As Chicago’s premier LGBTQ nonprofit healthcare organization, this expansion would extend critical, high quality health and wellness programs to up to 15,000 additional patients per year. Plans include the development of a new and larger Broadway Youth Center to better serve LGBTQ youth; a new clinic on North Halsted to relocate the existing practice in Boystown; and a new clinic-anchored community center serving South Side LGBTQ residents.
