Something in the works is a proposal I made to LA2050for a project I wrote about in my last mailing. Making L.A. a Friendlier City has just gotten accepted to be in the running for a $100,000 grant!
Here's the project's logo:
Accepted projects will be posted on April 22 for voting to whittle them down to 10 in my category, and the powers-that-be at LA2050 will pick two of those to be award-winners. Stay tuned for voting info!
Joel Solomon, a hero of mine, will be a guest on my podcast, Searching for Unity in Everything: Meaningful Conversations with Meaningful People, which is launching soon!
I bought The Clean Money Revolution: Reinventing Power, Purpose, and Capitalism because I know Joel, not really thinking, arty person that I am, that I’d get so much from it. I was wrong. Ever since I read it I’ve been chewing on what I learned about what can be done with wealth that could be vital to our survival.
My feisty old friend, Marianne Williamson, needs 65,000 separate donors to get on the presidential debate stage. Whatever you think about her becoming President, she has the most enlightened advocacies of all the people who are running, and, having nothing to do with her chances or your support for her being President, it would be good for everyone to hear her. She’s been asking people to donate even $1 to get her qualified for the debates and I’m strongly supporting that request. Donate here:
In an article in The Daily Kos, it said: “Williamson is bringing something entirely different to the crowded Democratic primary, one that’s shaping up to be diverse in background but monotone in message."
