Mission Team
It’s time to begin! Savannah Presbytery Mission Team is excited to reach out to you with an exciting opportunity! Tray Smiles :) is the latest project with the Savannah Presbytery Mission Team to bring our presbytery into a Mission Mindset, enabling and encouraging outreach big and small for our churches big and small! Tray Smiles :) will give your church’s children of all ages a simple project that will bring smiles to people who are in the hospital, hospice, or memory care right on their meal trays while bringing our Presbytery together through these simple acts of kindness. Perhaps your Sunday school classes, VBS, or meals together could be opportunities for you to share this project! It’s so easy! Each church will be mailed a packet or you can go to the website.

Summer Camp
Summer Camp is fast approaching, and the kiddos do not want to miss this camp!
Registration is still open but closes June 10th so make sure to register TODAY!

Campers (rising 2nd-12th grades) can expect camp to be next level at CampMontgomery which is accredited by the American Camp Association. Campers will have opportunity to engage in activities that stretch them and build connectedness with each other and their faith. Activities include archery, high & low ropes, swimming, canoeing, worship, Bible study, zip lining, rock wall climbing, tubing, and blobbing!

Montgomery Summer Staff are selected based on their Christian commitment, maturity, and aptitude in working with young people. All members are screened carefully and are subject to a Level II background check. Their training prepares them to create caring environments, provide opportunities for discovery, develop campers’ relationships with Christ, and administer CPR/First Aid training. A nurse is on the premise and camp food is top notch with fresh homemade fare prepared daily.

We are excited to partner with Camp Montgomery, a PC(USA) Conference Center, in Starke, Florida!
Presbyterian Women
The Presbyterian Women of Savannah Presbytery Coordinating Team will be conducting Officer Training Sessions via Zoom on August 8th from 7:00-8:00 p.m. and August 13th from 10:00-11 a.m. In addition to presentations for the various offices held in Presbyterian Women, information will be given for ways to create Presbyterian Women groups in churches that are not currently active. This training will be open to all churches, regardless of whether they have an active PW. Clerks of Session are also invited to attend in order to create better communication with the churches of Savannah Presbytery. Please contact Barbara Riddle at heartstringsmail@yahoo.com to register for either Officer Training Session. Please specify which date and time you prefer. Zoom invitations will be sent out by email early in August.
Wilmington Island Presbyterian Church
The Barnabas Challenge

Wilmington Island Presbyterian’s Barnabas Fund has issued a challenge to our congregations and individual members to support the work of Rev. Ozeas da Silva and the ministries of La Iglesia Latina/Swainsboro Presbyterian Church. The Barnabas Fund will match gifts totaling $10,000. These gifts will be applied to the Savannah Presbytery efforts to fund a 403(b)-retirement fund for Rev. da Silva. He has worked eleven years without a retirement fund. We seek to remedy this oversight. Make your commitment either through a pledge or gift to the Savannah Presbytery. Please let us know that your gift is for Rev. da Silva’s 403 (b) retirement fund.

Thank you and God Bless.
