Bishop Megan Rohrer preached and presided at the Transgender Day of Remembrance Vesper Service held at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in San Francisco, CA this past Saturday.
Catherine Slabaugh joined St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Fairfield, CA for their "Blessing of the Greens" worship service, as the congregation prepared the sanctuary for the Advent season!
Pastor Manda Truchinski worshipped with Christ Lutheran Church in Aptos, CA this past Sunday. The congregation gifted Pastor Manda a homemade reusable bag from their stewardship of creation team. What a gift!
Pastor Tita Valeriano joined Grace Lao Lutheran Mission in Richmond, CA for their monthly youth service, where church is held in english as a way to bridge the newer and older generations!

Catherine visited Community Lutheran Church in West Sacramento, CA to learn about the incredible outreach and ministry these folk are doing with 11 other interfaith partners in the city. They've started the Mercy Coalition, learn more here!
Synod Vice President Gail Kiyomura was on vacation in Maui and Kauai and of course had to stop by a few ELCA Lutheran congregations! Here she's pictured with Pastor JP Paxton, an alumni of PLTS and former Synod Council representative in our Synod!

ELCA Fund for Leaders: Scholarship Applications Open!

"Applications are now open for ELCA Fund for Leaders scholarships! Each year the Fund for Leaders provides over 40 full-tuition scholarships to future ELCA pastors and deacons who attend ELCA seminaries. In spring 2022, the Fund for Leaders will once again offer scholarships to seminary students. Find out more and apply here."
