We hear the Psalms each week, but how often do we pay attention to the tone the Psalmist uses? We will focus on the ways in which the Psalmist used song/poetry to express not just love and praise for God, but also frustration, lament and anger. God does not ask for only our joy and thanksgiving. God welcomes us to come with all our emotions. For this month’s post-service activity, we will be composing our own psalms using a mixture of traditional, silly and sassy Valentine’s conversation hearts.
