Second Sunday Informal Eucharist
Sunday, March 13, 4:00pm, Parish House-Burns Hall
Join us today for our Second Sunday Informal Eucharist. This Sunday marks the second week in Lent. The season of Lent is often characterized by fasting, self-denial and self-reflection and is often described as “penitential”. However, each Sunday when the people of the Church gather together, we are celebrating a “little Easter” as we gather around the altar and remember Christ’s death and resurrection. This week we will explore the historical traditional of “breaking the fast” on Sunday as we together remember that even in Lent there is a little Easter.
