Q: How much will it cost to use an Amenity Boat?
A: The cost of using an Amenity Boat will be $199 for a ½ day reservation, and $399 for a full-day reservation.
Q: Does this change my membership?
A: No, this does not change your membership type. The use of an amenity boat is an optional additional perk available as an add-on to your current membership.
Q: When will the boat be available?
A: The program will launch in the coming weeks. The exact date will be shared soon.
Q: Where will this boat be located?
A: The Sea Ray SDX 270 will be located at our Sarasota-Marina Jack location, but will be available for any SWFL member to use as long as they have their Advanced Boater Certification (see next question).
Q: Do I need additional training to use this boat?
A: Members who have their Advanced Boater Certification (equivalent to Offshore Certification) will be able to use the Sea Ray SDX 270 Amenity Boat. If you do not have your Advanced Boater Certification please reach out to your training captain.
Q: Where can I take this boat?
This vessel is approved for in-shore and near-shore boating (up to 1 mile offshore).
Q: How do I reserve an Amenity Boat?
A: The Amenity Boat will be available in the Reservation System to members who have completed the appropriate training. You will be charged after you have taken the boat out and completed your reservation.
Q: Does my FBC PLUS coverage include Amenity Boats?
A: Yes.
Q: Am I allowed to keep an Amenity Boat overnight?
A: Yes, simply communicate with the Member Experience Center at reservations@freedomboatclub.us to complete the required forms and reserve the boat for the appropriate timeslots.
Q: Am I allowed to book an Amenity Boat for a same-day reservation?
A: Yes, provided you have passed the appropriate certification and the boat is available.
