Celebrating Champions Month
Fifty-three years ago, one woman’s vision turned into a powerful mission filled with hope, love, and opportunity. Eunice Kennedy Shriver didn’t just create Special Olympics, she challenged the world to give people with intellectual disabilities the rights and acceptance they deserve.

This Saturday, July 10, would have been Eunice Kennedy Shriver’s 100th birthday. We’re excited to celebrate the life of someone who continues to inspire so many.

Through relentless determination, passion, courage, and the hard work of many, Eunice Kennedy Shriver’s vision continues to be realized by millions of people throughout the world. She has inspired people around the globe to become believers and to follow in her footsteps.
