Devorah Lieberman

Devorah celebrated the launch of the university's new College of Health and Community Well-Being by moderating a panel discussion for the LA Business Journal on the state of health care in Southern California.

Devorah has also been busy politically. She addressed the United States Congress to advocate for greater funding for Hispanic Serving Institutions on behalf of the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities, and then was among a handful of presidents invited to a summit with Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona to strategize on how higher education can reprioritize student success. As a follow up to that summit, she published an opinion piece in the American Council on Education's "Higher Education Today" blog.

This year, US News & World Report ranked the University of La Verne #6 nationally for social mobility of students.
