Dear Alums and Other Friends of HCBE |
|
With the holiday season upon us, and as we reflect on 2021, many of us are grateful for family, friends, colleagues, and, of course, good health. I am thinking of even more specific gratitude for the special people in our lives who have served as guiding lights, from mentors to others who might have given important direction, or just a kind word at a critical time that made a difference. After all, the brand we have adopted at HCBE is “difference maker” (see a tribute to our namesake, Wayne Huizenga), so it is appropriate that we focus on the meaning of “difference maker” as we reflect on who we are and whom we want to become.
There are two recent examples of the importance of guiding lights in our lives that inspire me. |
