Child Care Deserts Grant Opportunity to Open a New Child Care Program
Dear NYS Principals and Administrators, 

The NYS Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) has announced a competitive grant opportunity for people interested in opening a new child care program. For additional details about this opportunity, please visit the program's webpage by clicking HERE and carefully read the Request for Applications document.
 
Please share this information with anyone who may be interested in opening a new child care program. 

Important Dates

  • Invest in NY Child Care Grant Informational Session will take place on February 14, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. The link is currently not working but we will send out a working link as soon as it is made available.
  • Invest in NY Child Care awards will be for two years and must begin by June 30, 2022.
  • The end date for these awards is no later than June 30, 2024.
  • The application period is April 11, 2022 to May 19, 2022 by 11:59 p.m.
  • Final contracts will be issued once the program’s license/registration is completed.

Note that we are currently looking further into this program and will hopefully be able to share more information soon.
