Lesson 2: Praying to Whom? (Focus: Matthew 6:9)
Online Sunday School continues! This week, we will learn about the names and attributes of God, adoration in prayer, and how the opening of the Lord’s Prayer connects all of us with God and each other. New video lessons are posted every Saturday morning on the Saint Alban's YouTube channel: WeAreStAlbans.org/live.

Don't forget to stop by the Sunday School table in the Narthex every Sunday to pick up this week's take-home activities, stickers, and coloring pages! Contact Adam Hutson for more information.
Help pack food for Belvedere Elementary School students
Sunday, October 24, 9:15 am | Parish Hall

Come to the parish hall between services this Sunday... We have the bags. We have the food. We need your help packing bags for hungry children from Belvedere Elementary School. The bags are distributed on Fridays to our sponsored children through a backpack weekend meal program.
Support the mission of Second Story: virtual fundraiser

St. Alban's is a long-time supporter of Second Story (formerly Alternative House). Second Story supports young mothers, homeless youth and youth in crisis in our community by providing a safe space, counseling, and training to break cycles of homelessness, abuse, and poverty.

Poe Middle School After-School Meal Program Begins

St. Albans will be serving a hot meal to middle schoolers who participate in Poe’s after-school activities next Thursday, October 28. Here’s your opportunity to participate in this outreach, which began in 2013. Kids there have been asking when we'd return.

More than two-thirds of the students in the after-school programs receive free or reduced-priced breakfasts and lunches, and so our meals support those who face food insecurity at home at the end of the day. Here’s your opportunity to support this outreach!

Our Sunday Ministry Table focuses on
Annandale Health Care Center
and Samaritan Ministry

This week we're highlighting two of our long-time ministries. St. Alban's has brought Anglican worship to the residents of the Annandale Health Care Center for over 60 years, and we are a founding member and supporter of Samaritan Ministry and its mission to bring self-reliance and support to the homeless and the unemployed.

Stop by the information table in the narthex to find out how you can be part of these important ministries at St. Alban's.

When you do stop by, ask yourself, “Where is God calling me to serve?” We can help find the “right fit” for you and your lifestyle. Whether you have one hour of time to donate or can chair an entire committee, there is a place for everyone at St. Alban’s. Representatives from each ministry will be available to discuss how our combined effort serves the mission of St. Alban’s.

For more info, contact Karen or Rick Weinberg at rweinberg1@cox.net.
