Prayer List Maintenance
Our prayer lists in SAM have gotten a little long and unwieldy, and we're not certain if they are as up to date as they could be. If you have a loved one or friend on one of our prayer lists ("Family and Friends" or "Military and Civilians serving overseas") and they need our continued prayers, please contact Adam in the parish office (info@stalbansva.org), or call and leave a message on the office phone. We ask that the updates be given by Wednesday, June 29. The updated prayer lists will be published in the July 3 St. Alban's Message (SAM).
Note from Adam Detzner
Many parishioners and others have found that my e-mails are often going to their spam folders. I make every effort to respond to e-mails within 24 hours. If you are expecting a message from me and have not received one, please monitor your spam folder, and if your e-mail client allows it, please add adetzner@stalbansva.org to your trusted contact list. Thank you! Adam Detzner
Shrine Mont Weekend: Registration Open!
Save the date for our 105th annual parish weekend at Shrine Mont:
Friday, September 30th through Sunday, October 2nd.

With summer only just starting, it is hard to think toward the fall. However, registration for Shrinemont is open and closes on July 5th. Since it is not a true parish weekend without the people of the parish, we have reduced the upfront costs from pay-in-full to a 30% deposit with the balance due in September. To sign up, go to https://wearestalbans.org/shrinemont/. We cannot wait to see everyone there!
Help Out the Families of Braddock Elementary School
interested in going grocery shopping in the Parish Hall? Want to figure out mathematical problems with fruit? Then the Braddock Elementary School grocery program is the volunteer project for you!

Every other Wednesday, St. Alban’s provides two bags of nutritious foods to 35 grateful families who have been identified as "in need" by the school's family resource teacher. Volunteers are needed to pack the bags or deliver them to a central location where we meet the families. We love new volunteers and it is very rewarding, so please consider joining us. Our next Wednesday is this coming one, June 29th. If you have any questions, email Nell Dillard at nelldillard@hotmail.com. Click on this link to sign up!
God Has a Dream and We Are the Realization of That Dream
We are excited to offer an exploratory five-week journey on the road of awakening our sense of calling as God’s people in our community starting Wednesday, July 13th via Zoom. Explore the possibilities offered by Verna Dozier through her adept storytelling and study in her empowering book, “The Dream of God.” Please click here for details. For more information, please contact Moira Skinner.
ACCA Food Pantry Needs Donations
Thanks to all who brought donations the last couple of weeks. Our intake was 20 lbs. the first week, and 37 lbs. last week. We do not stop for the summer, so please continue to bring your contributions to the bin in the narthex. You are a blessing to your neighbors in need.

As a reminder, they need: bar soap and deodorant, canned chicken and ham, cereals, cooking oil, dish soap and laundry detergent, dry black or red beans, diapers size 6, maseca/masa, regular condiments, paper towels and toilet paper, rice (1 or 2 lbs bags), spaghetti sauce, and tortillas. They do NOT need chicken noodle soup, mac and cheese, tuna, or canned vegetables.

Questions? Give Fran Walinsky a holler via email.
