Secondary Schedule Planning Well Underway
How does your student end up with their course schedule? It is a cycle that repeats each year. As with any cycle, one step informs the next one.

STEM begins this cycle each Fall asking teachers if they would like to propose any new courses for the following school year. If so, DCSD has a process that includes identifying the title, syllabus and other details and submitting it for approval. Students can also propose a course and find a willing teacher to sponsor and submit the necessary paperwork. Click here to read more

Student Shout-Outs!
We want to celebrate our students and for our students to celebrate each other. Give a Shout-Out to a fellow classmate!

Anya Rau
She is always kind and respectful during lunch and computer science and never cusses.

Naomi Tewolde
When people make fun of my car at school, Naomi is the first one to tell them to stop and she makes jokes to cheer me up. She’s a really good person to be around and can always make others smile.

Tjaden Litwiler
Tjaden always helps my sister out whenever she needs anything or is having a bad day. She always helps me with assignments and I know I can talk to her if I ever need anything. Whenever people make fun of my haircut, Tjaden always makes me feel better.

Mathew Tewolde
My brother is a very responsible person. I can always count on him to tell me to get my homework done. He is my idol and I look up to him every day.

Timothy Pauku
He is very respectful to teachers and students alike.

Ethan Boen
He’s just epic, great guy

Rylee Benner
Always there for someone to talk to.

Aleah Farrar
Leah is my best friend and she’s always been there for me

Katrina Megor
Katrina is always an upbeat person who brings out the best in people.

Check back next week for more Shout-Outs.
