Let's Recognize our Outstanding SRO Deputy Gabe Uribe
Sheriff Spurlock said to me, “I have the perfect SRO for STEM. Gabe Uribe is quirky like your school and he is the Sheriff’s Department’s Spanish spokesperson.” From this brief introduction, I knew Deputy Gabe Uribe was our guy.

Each year, there is a national award for the very best SRO in the country. STEM knows Deputy Gabe Uribe is the most deserving of this national recognition. The deadline for the nomination is Friday, April 1. The Floyd Ledbetter National School Resource Officer of the Year Award will be our own Deputy Gabe Uribe if we can all take a few minutes to endorse him as the 2022 recipient of this great honor.  Click here to read more
