A Message from Ms. Kovalesky, Interim Executive Director
Dear Secondary Spartans,

I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to serve you in the role of K-12 Executive Director of STEM. As some of you may know, I joined the STEM Administration Team in the Spring of 2019 as the Elementary Assistant Director.

While becoming a part of our STEM community, I have enjoyed supporting our ES students, teachers, and families while always welcoming the opportunity to connect with those at the Secondary School. One of the wonderful parts of being at a K-12 school is having the opportunity to see our students grow and achieve success past fifth grade.

It is hard for me to believe that my first group of STEM Spartans will be eighth graders next year. In my new role, I look forward to playing a greater part in each student's growth. My goal is to work with our Leadership Team, our Administration Team, and our amazing teachers to ensure you have exponential opportunities at your disposal.

As I stated during the interview process, I want every student and family to feel welcomed and included. One of the first steps in accomplishing that is learning why we didn’t meet the needs of some of our students and work to make any improvements that we can.

If you are a student that has chosen to leave STEM, please reach out to Mr. Ryan Alsup (ryan.alsup@stemk12.org) (High School Director) or Mrs. Maura Ridder (maura.ridder@stemk12.org) (Middle School Director) to set up time with to meet with them so that they can hear your concerns.

#STEMStrongerTogether!

Thank you,

LynAnn Kovalesky, Interim Executive Director
STEM is on the Move! A Replication Update
Twice a week, STEM provides Parent Information Sessions on Zoom for families who are interested in learning more about either of our two proposed schools. One is for our STEM School Sterling Ranch campus and one is for our STEM School Denver campus within the Denver Public Schools District. Before the evening sessions, the STEM Replication Team puts the appropriate background image to reinforce the future school’s brand.

I had a moment of panic when right before we were letting in parents to the session, I had the wrong image and was scrambling to switch it out. Afterward, it was a moment of realization that we are no longer one campus but pretty soon we will be three. Each with unique characteristics, and all part of our one STEM family.  Click here to read more
