We Are Hiring for Summer Staff!

We are looking for staff who love the outdoors, love working with kids and who want to make an impactful experience for campers. While many camp counselors end up pursuing careers in education, recreation, or youth development, the skills built at camp will boost your resume and help you gain valuable professional experience, which will translate well to any field.

Positions include housing, meals, training and pay well for the summer with additional work opportunities. You must be at least 18 years old to apply. Please email programs@chanco.org for more information or apply now!

Change for Chanco

2024's Change for Chanco Project

With your help, we're excited to bring improvements to our river programming with a new inflatable water obstacle course and floating dock.

What is Change for Chanco?

For more than a decade, campers have been saving their change toward an exciting addition to Chanco’s camp programs. Thanks to Change for Chanco youth fundraising many Camp Chanco programs ideas have become part of a summer of fun full of outdoor experiences. New archery equipment, the rock-climbing wall, our Superman Swing high-ropes element, paddle boards, and an arts and craft pavilion are some of the most recent exciting additions made possible by our campers.

Our anonymous donor has once again agreed to match all donations, so your gift will have double the impact. And, to make this even more exciting, each campsite will compete to see who can raise the most, with the winning campsite each session earning a special ice cream party.

No one is too young to make a difference at Chanco! Join in the fun and help us take our camp programs to new heights by making a "Change for Chanco" today.

Spring Work Weekend

April 26–28

FREE

Are you ready to make a positive impact on our beloved Chanco? Come out and join us for a fun weekend and wonderful fellowship and give back to Chanco by helping us get some spring projects completed. Opportunities for all ages, including: kids, teens and young adults, seniors, families and groups, such as an organization or company.

Come for the whole weekend and enjoy evening social time together or just come for Saturday (9am). Come on your own or come as a family, all are welcome. We offer free overnight accommodation in Watson so register early to reserve your spot!

EYC Spring Weekend 2024

May 3–5

Spring Weekend is an opportunity for youth to come together with friends from all over the Diocese and to spend time in retreat with God.

Youth in grades 6 through 12 are invited to join us for a weekend of camp fun and fellowship as we explore what it means to be in right relationship with God and others. The EYC Board has been exploring abiding in Jesus' love and is excited to share what they have learned with the youth of the Diocese. During the weekend youth will be staying in the campsites in chalets and will have an opportunity to not only grow in their faith but also grow in community with activities around camp.

Fellowship is fun, spiritual, motivating, musical, and active... and it's at Chanco, so register now!!

Suggested packing list: bedding and pillow, toiletries, prescription medication in original case, seasonally appropriate clothing – bring layers including a swimsuit, sweater, hoodie, jacket, and raincoat, comfortable shoes, including one pair with closed toes, Bible, camera, musical instrument, books, flashlight, bug spray.or call us at 888-724-2626 with any questions.

Alumni Weekend

May 10–12

Come join us for fun and fellowship at this year’s Alumni Weekend to reconnect with old friends, form new friendships, and share memories of past summers at Camp Chanco. We’ll offer many of our traditional camp activities from ropes to aquatics, as well as live music on the Bluff. Various accommodation options will be offered in either a single or shared motel room, as well as chalet camping. Participants under 21 must be accompanied by a parent and/or guardian.

Shared Room: $140 • Private Room: $220 • Chalet: $100

New Policies at Chanco

Beginning January 1, 2024, the Chanco Board has made a decision to introduce a small convenience fee on all credit card payments for both camps and retreats. This 3% fee is a modest adjustment that will help us continue to provide you with exceptional service and maintain the high standards that make Chanco a cherished destination.

We understand that change can sometimes be met with questions, and we want to assure you that this decision was made after careful consideration and with your best interests at heart. The convenience fee will directly offset the fees that Chanco incurs when accepting credit card transactions. You may avoid this fee by making your payment by check or cash.

We want to express our gratitude for your continued support, trust, and dedication to the Chanco community. Your participation in our camps and retreats has played a crucial role in shaping the vibrant and inclusive atmosphere that defines Chanco.
