Change for Chanco:

Cultivating Generosity and Nature!

We all know that even the tiniest pebble can create ripples across the river bank. Similarly, the spare change that often clinks in pockets and jars can add up to create something incredible. With "Change for Chanco," our campers participated in the practice of giving by collecting their spare change and donating it towards a summer camp program.

This year’s donations collected through "Change for Chanco" will provide support for a new Nature Hut. This dedicated space will serve as a hub for immersive outdoor learning experiences, sparking curiosity and fostering a deep connection with nature. Imagine the formation, education and activities will bloom within the walls of this nurturing sanctuary!

Do you appreciate how Chanco’s summer campers and staff learn about themselves and nature? Then, this year’s Change for Chanco is a perfect way to ensure our Nature Hut helps to structure future camp programs rooted in the way God can speak to us in the beauty of our natural landscapes.  We encourage you to celebrate the end of our Summer Camp 2023 with you donation to this year’s “Change for Chanco.” And, through our online giving platform, we’re offering a more convenient and a greener approach to supporting Chanco! We hope you’ll take a minute to add to this year’s Change for Chanco’s Nature Hut.

Thank you for nurturing the values that make our diocese camp and retreat space so special. Together, let's empower our youth to make a difference and create a legacy supporting nature and generosity.

Camp Chanco Summer Adventures:

A Season of Joy and Growth!

As the sun sets on another unforgettable summer, we're thrilled to share the incredible journey our young campers embarked on at Camp Chanco. From heartwarming friendships to exciting outdoor escapades, this summer has been an absolute blast for everyone involved!

Our campers have been experiencing the time of their lives, immersing themselves in nature, learning new skills, and creating memories that will last a lifetime. Whether they were conquering the ropes course, exploring the trails, or letting their creativity shine in arts and crafts, each day has been filled with laughter, discovery, and endless fun.

One of the most beautiful aspects of Camp Chanco is how it brings people together. We've witnessed friendships blossom and bonds strengthen as campers from different backgrounds and areas come together to share their experiences, stories, and dreams. The campfire chats, team challenges, and shared adventures have created a sense of camaraderie that's truly heartwarming.

Your Feedback Matters: If you had a child at Camp Chanco this summer, we'd love to hear about their experience! Our annual camp survey is a valuable opportunity for you to share your thoughts and insights. Your feedback helps us continue to improve and create the best possible experience for every camper. Look out for the survey link in your inbox and take a few moments to let us know how we did!

For those who weren't able to send a camper to Camp Chanco this year, we have some exciting news! We've put together captivating recap videos that showcase the highlights of each week. From thrilling adventures to heartfelt moments, these videos are a window into the incredible world our campers explored. Head over to our website and prepare to be amazed by the laughter, teamwork, and pure joy captured on film. We also have documented our campers' favorite moments in the Camper Diary on Instagram. We hope you'll take a moment to visit all of our social media, photos and video links to see the awesome summer we've had!

Remember, the Camp Chanco spirit doesn't fade with the summer sun. Keep an eye on our social media channels and website for updates, announcements, and information about upcoming events. Stay engaged with the community, share your own camp memories, and continue to be a part of the magic that makes Camp Chanco so special.

As we wrap up another sensational summer, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to all our campers, families, and staff who make Camp Chanco the incredible place it is. We can't wait to see you all again next year and create even more cherished memories together.
