Beyond the Stereotype
A lively discussion involving around 50 representatives from churches, schools and a range of other key organisations with a role in education took place recently with a view to helping children and young people to reach their full potential. Mark Baker, CSSC Chief Executive took part in a panel discussion at the event.
Advancing Shared Education
This third Report to the Northern Ireland Assembly sets out the extent to which the Department of Education, the Education Authority and other bodies impacted by the Act have complied with or exercised their respective duties and powers. The Report also addresses levels of participation, and the extent to which the purpose of Shared Education has
been achieved.
Recent investment in schools
£794 million will be invested with 28 schools to advance in planning under the Major Capital Works Programme, including nine controlled schools. Read more here.

Jones Memorial Primary School’s breakfast club receives £1,000 Award
Jones Memorial Primary School support their pupils in a number of important ways including providing a breakfast club which they recently applied for and were successful in receiving £1,000 to assist the club. Encapsulating the ethos within the school, ‘caring, sharing and preparing’.
