Dear Competitor,

I’m writing to describe all the fun stuff that happens on Labor Day Weekend in addition to the racing:

Thursday Afternoon Parade
Race Cars and Older Sports Cars. Eighteen miles through local towns. Ends in Falls Village with a Street Fair. A great opportunity to give your girlfriend, friend, wife, etc., a ride in your race car at modest speeds. Limited to 125 so you need to register early. It fills up quickly. If you did not register for the parade on your entry form, but would like to sign up, contact [email protected]. The $40 entry fee goes to the two local charities that help with traffic control and parking.

Drivers Lounge in Media Center behind the LRP Store in A Paddock
Open Friday, Saturday, and Monday. Coffee. Snacks. Cappuccino in the mornings. Drivers can collect their swag, timing and scoring sheets, and meet friends.

Friday Evening Competitor Dinner and Cocktail Party
Two tickets per entrant. Panel focused on but not limited to the Trans Am Series. Featured speakers will include Chuck Cantwell, Project Manager of all Trans Am projects at Shelby through 1968, as well as team engineer and test driver, before leaving to become the General Manager of Penske Racing. We also have Trans Am Champion Dorsey Schroeder, and longtime Penske timer Judy Stropus.

Saturday Night Dinner and Cocktail Party Presented by Corvette
We have twelve of GM’s most significant Corvette Concept Cars and twenty (20) important race cars coming for the weekend, plus a large display of significant production Corvettes on Sunday. The head of design at General Motors worldwide and his predecessor will be part of a panel focused on Corvette design. Cost $100 per person. Reservations will be required, information to follow.

Sunday Concours and Gathering of the Marques
Pick of the Paddock is a Concours class for interesting or beautiful or significant race cars. If your car is accepted, the Lime Rock Sunday in the Park team will reach out to you.

Swap Meet
Lime Rock’s Historic Festival Swap Meet will be located in a new location at the back of B Paddock through the weekend.

Hotels
We have some local rooms available. Contact Jen Murphy in the track office at (860) 435-5000 x 116. All have four-day minimums.
