Thinking Outside the Box
It seems everything in our lives has been affected by COVID-19. This far-reaching affect necessitates changes in our work, schools and homes. Creating new ways to interact with each other, perform our work safely and instruct students requires "out of the box" thinking to do it efficiently and safely. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and new facility requirements are available through Choice Partners contracts and vendors, but not necessarily where you might expect to find them. These high-demand PPE items, facility equipment and services are listed below by category and vendor to help members expedite their procurement needs. You may always call our main line, 877-696-2122, for additional assistance.

Attention All Vendors
On behalf of the Texas Co-ops Collaborative Group, we are sending you this notification and personal invite to participate as an exhibitor in our “100% virtual” food show event! This “expo” is for child nutrition food products and non-food food-service related products (small-wares, equipment, software, chemicals, etc…). Our focus this year is “making it work” with a blended model of serving students as well as new ideas with the tried-and-true and new products too. We have attached the agreement form and a Power Point template that we would love for you to use if you want to provide or use a Power Point presentation.

Meet CP Staff
Joann Nichols, RTSBA, Assistant Director, began her career with HCDE in 2003 by managing the organization’s print shop for four years. She was transferred to the newly created Choice Facility Partners co-op where, with minimal staff, they built up the co-op offerings so well that HCDE decided to combine it with the HCDE purchasing co-op and rebranded it as Choice Partners in 2012. She started as the Client Services Manager and later moved into the Assistant Director position in 2015.
Prior to HCDE, she was in the hospital administration business for 23 years. She graduated from Texas A&M in College Station and bleeds maroon blood . . . almost.

Joann lives for water skiing and competitive horseback riding.   With her own horses, she participates in Ranch Sorting and Team Penning competitions both involving sorting cows (like herding cats.) She has won many awards for these events and was a centerfold for the magazine, Flags Up!, that follows these competitions.
