Each year, the month of August is recognized across our nation as National Immunization Awareness Month. In observance, the CDC encourages healthcare providers and employers alike to become familiar and highlight the importance of vaccination for people of all ages. Research has proven that vaccines engineered to tackle serious diseases such as shingles, pneumococcal disease, flu, and more recently, COVID-19, are most effective when administered timely.

Congratulations to Berman Bros., Inc. for receiving USF SafetyFlorida’s Sunshine State Safety Recognition Award for their commitment to safety on the Headquarters Project. The award is given to Florida employers and employees in all industries who proactively and routinely demonstrate continuous improvement in job safety and health management systems throughout their worksites.

OSHA and the USF Safety Florida Consultation Program have joined the State of Florida, Department of Financial Services, Division of Workers’ Compensation Division to provide Workers' Compensation and Workplace Safety classes and webinars. These are available to business owners, contractors and everyone responsible for assuring that workers' compensation and workplace safety are a priority.
