Graduation 2022 In Person!
We are excited to announce that we are planning for an in-person 2022 Graduation Ceremony during the evening of Wednesday, May 18. Commencement will be held outdoors. More information about ceremony details will be provided in the weeks to come; please continue to check your email. Note: The in-person ceremony is contingent upon the continued decrease in COVID-19 cases in the region. Should we see another COVID surge, we will consider moving the graduation to a curbside event. Keep an eye out for future emails with information including how to order regalia, for those who will be participating in the ceremony. |

March is Women's History Month
March is Women's History Month, a celebration of women’s contributions to history, culture, and society. This is a dedicated month to reflect on the often-overlooked contributions of women to United States history. The 2022 theme is "Women Providing Healing, Promoting Hope." This theme pays tribute to caregivers and frontline women who have worked tirelessly during the pandemic and also recognizes how women of all cultures have provided both healing and hope throughout history. Let’s come together in community for a series of events celebrating women’s history throughout March. |

Hold Space Event on March 1
Safe spaces are spaces reserved for individuals to come together and discuss their experiences in a safe, respectful, and supportive environment. ARC would like to "Hold Space" for our community members impacted by the events in Ukraine. The event will be held on Tuesday, March 1, from 2:00 to 3:00 pm on Zoom. Our goal is to provide empathic professionals to support each person in working through their unique situation, circumstance, and emotions related to recent events. |

New Daily Enrollment Report Presentation on March 2 Please join Kale Braden, Associate Vice President of Instruction and Enrollment Management, and ARC’s research team on Wednesday, March 2 at 1:00 pm for the virtual roll-out presentation of a year-over-year daily enrollment report just added to ARC’s Data-on-Demand (Precision Campus) system. The Zoom link is lrccd.zoom.us/j/96186456319.
As the first in a series of upcoming enrollment management oriented reports, and the first in Precision Campus to report current semester data, this report provides daily student enrollment trends for three “like” terms, three years apart. It can be run at the college, division, department, and course levels of detail, and can be filtered by modality, FT/PT faculty, credit type, and more. This new capability is the result of a collaboration between Kale Braden and ARC’s research team. Please join us to learn how this new reporting capability may benefit individual faculty, department chairs, deans, and others in their planning and decision-making activities. |

Speech is Now Communication |
|
ARC's Speech program is now Communication - same great classes, same great professors, just a new name! The new program name better reflects the diversity of classes offered by the program. The courses still transfer and apply to degrees and certificates, still have the same numbers and titles, but now you will find them under “C” for Communication rather than “S” for Speech. You may have noticed the difference in class titles in the Summer 2022 class schedule. For more information on the program, visit Communication Programs and Majors. |
