Presidents' Day Weekend

ARC Theatre Presents Lost Girl

It is ten years since Wendy and the Lost Boys returned from Neverland, yet Wendy still struggles to find her footing in Lost Girl by Kimberly Belflower. In a refreshing turn on the beloved story of Peter Pan, Wendy Darling is at the center of this magical play. The show opens at American River College Theatre February 25 for six live performances (ending March 6). Recordings of the show will stream March 11-13. For more information, visit arctheatre.org/.
American Heart Month
American Heart Month

Heart disease is the leading cause of death for both men and women, but heart disease is preventable and controllable. Heart disease affects all ages, genders, and ethnicities. Risk factors include high cholesterol, high blood pressure, smoking, diabetes, and excessive alcohol use. 

Do you know how to keep your heart healthy? You can take an active role in reducing your risk for heart disease by eating a healthy diet, engaging in physical activity, and managing your cholesterol and blood pressure. This is a great chance to start some heart-healthy habits!

In Memoriam

We are saddened to share that former ARC English professor Robert Mehaffy recently passed away. Robert was a longtime professor at ARC, including service as department chair. He retired in 1996. Please see his obituary for more information.
