Vaccine Clinics on Campus
American River College will be holding on-site vaccination clinics August 23 and 24 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm for any student or employee who is not yet vaccinated. The clinics will be facilitated by Walgreens as part of the federal vaccination rollout program. Remember, all students who access district and college facilities (including in-person classes or student support services) will need to provide evidence of their first vaccine dose by October 1, 2021. Appointments are recommended, but walk-ins will also be accepted.
Up to $200 in incentives are available for students who get fully vaccinated and provide evidence of vaccination!

1. Provide evidence of receiving at least your first shot by September 1, 2021 to receive $100 (ALL students are eligible, including those who received their vaccination(s) before the requirement was put into place)

2. Provide evidence of being fully vaccinated by November 1, 2021 and receive an additional $100 (again, ALL students are eligible, including those who received their vaccination(s) before the requirement was put into place)

If you submit your vaccination status prior to these deadlines, you won’t have to take any action to get your check! The funds will be automatically deposited in your BankMobile account (for those with an account) OR a check will be mailed directly to you at your address on file. The deposit or check will be issued after the September 1, 2021 and November 1, 2021 deadlines.

To provide evidence of your vaccination, go to eServices and click the “COVID-19 Vaccination Status” tile on the home page.

Learn more about the student incentives for getting vaccinated, the vaccine requirement and how to find other available vaccination clinics in your area on our vaccine webpage.
Important Announcements

Here are some helpful reminders for the college community:

Emergency Resources: Download the Rave Guardian App to have safety resources and information at your fingertips, including what to do in case a lockdown happens on campus. To ensure you receive critical emergency notifications, make sure your contact information is up-to-date. Login to eServices, click “Profile,” and then “Contact Details,” you will then be able to update your information including preferred email and phone number.

Free Speech: Please be aware that outside groups occasionally visit campus exercising their constitutionally protected right to free speech. These groups might display images or engage in speech that is offensive to some. Learn more about free speech on campus.

Parking: Parking permits will NOT be required for staff or students for the fall semester. However, students and employees will be required to park in designated student or staff parking spaces. We will be enforcing violations in red zones and other restricted areas, metered or timed parking, disabled parking and violations that impede traffic or block access.

Student ID Cards and UTP Stickers: Student ID cards will not be issued during the fall semester. You do not need the card to receive your UTP (transportation pass). After you pay your UTP fee you will receive an email with information on how to have your pass mailed to you directly.

Smoking: All of the Los Rios campuses are tobacco, smoke, and vape free.
Help! I'm on the Waitlist

The waitlist status of a class changes throughout the enrollment period, so you should regularly monitor your waitlist status. After the semester starts on Saturday, a permission number is required to be added to a class from the waitlist. If your professor gives you a permission number to add the class, follow these Use Permission Number/Enroll from Waitlist instructions.

Permission numbers are only sent to you from your professor. If you have questions about whether you will be receiving a permission number, email your professor to ask how they will be managing their waitlist this semester.
Not sure you will be added from the waitlist, but still need another class this semester to stay on track? Check the list of open classes to see if there is another section of the class you are waitlisted in OR if there is another class you want to take.
