Noah Hargrove Named Head Swim Coach at Boar’s Head Resort

Boar’s Head Resort named Noah Hargrove as its Head Swimming Coach for the JSL Boarfish team. Hargrove grew up swimming in the program and is now completing his sophomore season as a swimming student-athlete at Kenyon College. Hargrove replaces Dan Bledsoe, who recently retired after serving as the head coach for 19 years.

“I am very excited to have the opportunity to be the head coach of Boar’s Head swim team this summer,” Hargrove said. “My goal is to continue the legacy and culture of Ohana that Coach Dan created. There is no replacing Coach Dan. He is a one of a kind and an extremely talented coach, making the people around him better. Without Coach Dan, I believe the coaching staff will be a major component of carrying the traditions and livelihood from previous summers."

“I have worked to find a young and excited group of coaches that will help to create the environment of family and fun Boar’s Head strives to deliver each summer. Additionally, I think the parents of Boar’s Head swimmers will play a large role in maintaining the success the team has experienced in previous years. The parents play a central role in the running of our program and the meets through their volunteering, energy and commitment to the Boar’s Head swim team."
“I am looking forward to meeting everyone and the start of the season!”

Hargrove is working in conjunction with Sports Club leadership to prepare for the 2022 season. He will assume in-person duties on May 16.

“Having coached and mentored Noah Hargrove for the past 15 years, I can think of no one who is better suited to become the next head coach of the Boar’s Head Swim Team,” Bledsoe said. “Noah has an incredible work ethic and his passion for the team, our athletes and the sport of swimming is unmatched."
“I will continue to support the program, the athletes, and Coach Noah in whatever way that I can. OHANA means family, and the Boar’s Head Swim Team could not be in better hands.”

Registration for the 2022 Boarfish swim team is now open.
