NETWORK REP & REGIONAL VOLUNTEER CELEBRATION

Thanks to everyone who joined us at Allerton Park and Retreat Center in Montecello for our annual celebration. The day was warm with a beautiful breeze off of the meadow where white tablecloths and fall decorations awaited Illinois volunteers.

Volunteers had an opportunity to meet, reconnect and share ideas. Jen Wagh and Deborah Topolski, Co-RAs, talked a bit about recent challenges and successes for our Region. They'll meet up with Deb Aronson, ARA, on October 28th in NYC for an international Regional Team meeting with the SCBWI home office. NaShantá Fletcher introduced herself and spoke about how she hopes to use her experience to create opportunity for Illinois' illustrators as the new Illustrator Coordinator.
