OUR BELOVED ARA

Deb Aronson has been the most loyal and stalwart of collaborators—a fierce friend and game for anything! When she originally came aboard in 2019, we had no idea that she would serve through the most difficult conditions and shepherd a kidlit community during the worst of times for it and our global family.

Deb did this with cheer, know-how and a deep moral center. Under her leadership, Network communities have reached a new level. Deb did not benefit from many of the position’s perks, like annual international conferences. Regardless, she took it all in her stride, serving for a year longer than her commitment, with a grace, ease and dedication never seen before. We are so grateful.

Our Region needs a new Assistant Regional Advisor to join the Regional Team and steward our community beginning in December. Particular consideration will be given to applicants representing Illinois' downstate community who have previously volunteered in any capacity.
