#ReadLocalILLINOIS at Anderson’s
Volunteers Make
Anderson’s a Success

Our thanks to Sarah Aronson who coordinated our appearance at the 2022 Anderson’s Children’s Literature Breakfast. We also appreciate that she, Lisa Katzenberger and Jennifer Wagh placed swag bags on each seat at 6AM the morning of the breakfast!

We’re grateful to all our published members who sent us their beautiful promotional pieces! We couldn’t have created 400 swag bags without Andrea Hall, Kim Oclon, Lori Degman, Jarm Del Boccio, Lisa Katzenberger, Paula Karli, Jen Wagh and Deborah Topolski.

We need your help for IRC! Two years of PALs’ saved-up swag means that it takes us longer to pack it. Please lend us a hand on March 7. Sign-UP here.

Join us for a LIVE presentation with Illinois author Rena Barron on writing across age groups. As the author of two simultaneously released fantasy trilogies for teen and tween readers, Rena can speak to the joys and challenges of juggling multiple deadlines, working with different editors, marketing to diverse audiences, and staying inspired through it all.

Thanks to the generous PAL who sponsored our
SCBWI-IL booth!

Illinois Reading Council Conference
March 10-11

Take advantage of this opportunity to hand-sell books, engage teachers and pass out #ReadLocalILLINOIS posters, swag bags and prize book bundles! Autograph your books by signing up for our booth, #39, near Anderson's Bookfair.

Although volunteers created 400 bags for Anderson’s Children’s Literature Breakfast, we received much more swag from prolific PALs with 2 years of pandemic books! We need your help to finish the job for IRC. Talk with colleagues & have lunch on us!
