Resurfacing Project: Flamingo Park Indoor Racquetball / Handball Courts

Notice date: July 2, 2025

In 2022, the City of Miami Beach reopened the racquetball and handball courts at Flamingo Park after a complete renovation. For proper maintenance and upkeep, Parks & Recreation is scheduling a resurfacing project of the indoor courts this month.

What's Happening

Beginning Monday, July 7, the indoor racquetball / handball courts (numbered 1 through 6) are scheduled for this resurfacing project. The indoor courts will be closed for approximately ten days - five for the work and five for curing (drying) time.

We anticipate reopening the indoor courts after the completion of the resurfacing work on July 17. Please note, this schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Outdoor courts will remain open for play throughout the duration of this project. Handball and racquetball players are encouraged to use the outdoor courts as alternate play space while the indoor courts are improved for future use.

What to Expect

  • Work hours are weekdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Extended time is subject to city approval and community notification.
  • Handball players will be able to access and play on the outdoor courts.
  • Please note, schedules can change due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances.
  • Notices are posted at the Flamingo Park handball courts in advance of closures. Please adhere to posted signage.
