How Healthy Is Your Liver?

Our livers are the powerhouse of filtration for our body. If you have a fatty or toxic liver, you’ve got a clogged up system that won’t break down fat properly, can obstruct your lymphatic system, and can back up your bowels. A stagnant liver can cause kaleidoscopic migraines, acne, allergies, sinus issues, histamine reactions, thyroid issues, and also heavy, problematic menstrual periods...

Trauma Bonded In Canada: Healing Beyond the Margins (Short Stories)

Allyson McQuinn, DMH, JAOH has done it again! This is book number twenty five! Writing in a completely different genre in literature, McQuinn furnishes the reader with short story vignettes of the traumas she experienced in Canada. The first story begins in a school yard marred by violence just outside Montreal, Quebec, all the way up to being a practitioner of natural medicine in Ontario and being forced out of the province if she didn’t comply with the government condoned College of Homeopaths...

Closing Quote

Dear ,

Right out the gate, you might be wondering, what do parasites have to do with my liver? Great question. As Dr. Hulda Clarke cites, you can’t effectively do a liver and gallbladder detox without effectively doing a parasite cleanse first. That’s because behind those blocked ducts, behind the liver flukes, are a whole host of parasites. In order to get the gallbladder chaff and stones to clear the decks, we have to clean up the liver to make way for them to leave easily.

Springtime is the best time to do a thorough ‘spring cleaning’. That doesn’t just mean washing the mattress pad on your bed or actually refolding the towels in your linen cupboard neatly, after your kids have repeatedly terrorized its orderly nature. Your organs do super well with a dusting and a cleaning all of their own.

Did you know that both parasites and a fatty or congested liver have something in common? Both also need to address anger issues at the root.  To host parasites, we need to suffer, or have suffered, trauma related to victimization. Also, if the liver is congested, it’s where we have stuffed down our true feelings of rage.

It’s interesting, as most individuals will admit to grief, fear, and guilt, but rage, not so much. It’s often why folks who abuse alcohol will also end up with cirrhosis of the liver. They’re not only poisoning themselves, but underneath all that self-medicating is a feeling of a lack of self-advocacy and self-destruction. They have trauma from childhood where they didn’t feel those that should have stuck up for them actually did.

Do You Need To Do A Parasite Cleanse?

So this is the latest fad, it would seem, in both the mainstream and alternative worlds. I want to start out by saying that we’re all full of parasites. In fact, we’re all pretty much bags of bacteria and parasites. Parasites can be symbiotic and are often charged with mopping up excess toxicity from junk food (islets of organization), bacterias from your trip to Costa Rica, heavy metals, or the handfuls of dirt from the park your toddler just downed in one gulp, before you could get there to stop them...
