The holidays are the time for me to rest, rejuvenate, fast, and read. I actually don’t do much over the Christmas break as it really is the only time of the year that I get to fully hibernate. I love to hunker down in my sweats after a good hike or workout, and read, like a cat lying in a sunny spot.
This year, I answered a question that patients ask us frequently, “How can I learn more about Heilkunst, this mysterious system of medicine?” Folks are often so amazed by the positive results they’ve been getting from working with these principles of nature, that it opens a portal for an infinite number of questions that beg to be answered around how it all works.
Ok, so I took the time, recently, to provide you with a goodly number of resources. I crafted a blog that I also wished I’d had access to early in my
own Heilkunst treatment some 27 years ago. It’s all the most pertinent resources that answer any number of questions that a new or seasoned patient may have.
We find it’s best to curl up with your favorite cup of tea - mine is a Canadian Maple with organic milk or Kyoto Cherry Rose Green Tea … yum! Light a beeswax candle and make sure that you’ve got a couple layers of merino wool on, as this could take a while. Once you get into those resources, it may be some time before you come up for air or seek another sweater for warmth. No, we don’t provide catheters with the book list, but it’s not a bad idea. LOL. Please remember to feed, and also water, your kids!
The second blog is from 10 years ago!!! Seriously, 10 years have passed already?!!! It’s about what to do if you still find yourself running ragged to meet all the social and obligatory family expectations over the holiday season. There are lots of tips and tricks for how to raise your self-care up to the forefront, and how to lovingly push to the back of the bus all the non-resonant demands, before it ends up in a psychotic breakdown.
We wish you a blessed, meaningful, and self-knowledge raising holiday. We’ll meet you back here in the New Year, after we’ve all had a wonderful break and fed the coffers of self-care in the most delicious ways imaginable. Let us know in the comments below how you sneak in what you do (or don’t do) over Christmas and New Years to take care of yourself and your family.
Love,
Ally and Jeff
