Crenshaw at CampMeeting ’22
Part one of the teaching by Dr. Frederick K. Price Jr

Make your way to Genesis chapter One.

“My mother mentioned that this is historical. I was informed by her, as well as my siblings, that the first lesson my father ever taught here at Campmeeting was the God Kind of Faith. I felt that it was my duty to continue that. This may be a sort of 2.0 version, but the meat will be the same.

Peter said in his second letter to the church, As long as I am in this tent I’m going to stir you up by reminding you, and much of what you will hear during this session are things that you’ve heard before. But notice that the Bible never says that faith comes by having heard. Rather it reads that faith comes by hearing and hearing and hearing.

So we need to hear the same thing, and the reason why we need to hear the same thing over and over again is because, God, while He is the same yesterday, today and forever, His mercies are new every morning.

I’ve been trying to figure out how God can both be old and new simultaneously, but that’s the God we serve. And when we’re reading some of the same things that we’ve read before, certain things will become illuminated that were not illuminated before.

Return to Campmeeting
“I’m so excited to be here,” Dr. Betty R. Price told the audience. “When I got the magazine and it said 50th-year Campmeeting. I got on the phone and called Lynette (Hagin) and said I have to be there. This is historical.”

Dr. Betty was reconnecting a close relationship that had for years been broken.

She said after that, Kenneth W. Hagin Jr. then called Pastor Frederick and asked, “’since you’re coming, would you speak?’ So, you know that is a blessing,” she said.

“My son said he wanted me to make his introduction because he said I could tell it [the history] better than he could, and of course he’s right.

“We met Brother [Kenneth E.] Hagin through his books,” she said, explaining how their early association with the Hagins developed. “Someone gave my husband ten of his books. Those books changed our lives. We are here today because of those books.”

She recalled, humorously, that they first met Brother Hagin, Kenneth W. Hagin Jr.’s dad, when she was 36 years old. “I’m 88 now,” she said. That meeting was more than 50 years ago.”

They began absorbing the teachings in Brother Hagins’ books. “Those books,” she said,  “changed our lives.”

She and Reverend Frederick K.C. Price, as he was then known, attended the first Campmeeting in 1973, and Reverend Price gave his testimony.

Care Portal
By Minister Adrian Jenkins

This month in Care Portal News we were able to help a foster youth that will be attending college in the fall. The youth was starting over and needed some essential items as he prepared to begin the next chapter of his life. Through our partnership with Care Portal we were able to provide this young man with a bed set, pillows, television, hygiene products, basketball, microwave, coffeepot and much more.

Having these basic items will assist this young man in focusing on his studies with less concern about the essentials. We have a heavenly Father who cares about what we need and knows our needs before we ask (Matthew 6:8).

Living Christ, Loving People, Teaching People is not just the mission of Crenshaw Christian Center, it is a calling to the body of Christ to represent the image of God in the earth.

The light of the church should shine on Jesus always. It’s all about Him.

Thank you for your continued prayers and support as Crenshaw Christian Center continues to do its part to effect change in our community.
