God hasn’t missed anything

The world often tempts us to believe that everything should be sorted out right now. We want clear lines between good and evil, faithful and unfaithful, success and failure. Jesus tells a different story. In the parable of the weeds, the servants are eager to pull out what doesn’t belong. The Master tells them to wait.

That can be frustrating. We live among brokenness, conflict, and disappointment, even within the Church. Yet Jesus reminds us that He is Lord of the harvest. He sees what we cannot. His timing is perfect, and His justice will not fail.

In the meantime, the Church remains focused on what Christ has given us to do: proclaim the Gospel, love our neighbors, and faithfully plant His Word. Rather than spending our energy trying to judge every heart, we are invited to trust the One who knows every heart. The harvest belongs to Jesus. Our joy is to be faithful until He comes.
