Applications for the Velocity Summer Internship Program are now open!
Now in its 5th year, this program partners high school students with local companies based on the students' career interests.
Program Details
• The Velocity Summer Student Internship Program is open to incoming high school seniors, graduating class of 2027.
• Students must live in Vista or attend a school that's part of the Vista Unified School District.
• The Vista Chamber of Commerce covers the interns' pay for up to 100 hours.
• Businesses must be members of the Vista Chamber of Commerce.
Student application deadline: Sunday, April 5 at 11:59pm.
Business application deadline: Friday, April 10 at 11:59pm.

| | | | Verizon Small Business Digital Ready $5K Grants | |
To complement the hundreds of free resources available through Verizon Small Business Digital Ready, Verizon, in partnership with LISC, is awarding $5,000 grants to 25 small businesses based in New York, California, and West Virginia to help them sustain and grow their businesses. The grant will be awarded directly to selected business owners and does not need to be repaid.
To be eligible to apply for the $5,000 Grant in New York, California or West Virginia, you must meet the following criteria:
- Be a for-profit business. Nonprofits are not eligible to apply.
- Be U.S.-based with a primary business address located in either New York, California or West Virginia. Business address will be required during the application process and verified for applicants who are selected as finalists.
- Be 18 years of age or older.
- Can share and provide proper business and financial verification documentation (W-9s, ACH) if selected as a finalist.
How can businesses apply?
- Complete one Digital Ready course, virtual event (including recorded events), or in-person event* between January 1, 2026 and March 31, 2026 to unlock the application.
- Submit the application by 11:59 PM PT on March 31, 2026. Late applications will not be considered.
