Ribbon Cutting for the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank

Last week we celebrated the Grand Opening of the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank's new and permanent Vista facility.


This 60,000 square feet warehouse is located at 2260 Oak Ridge Way and offers the food bank more space to serve the people of Vista and all of North County.

Harvest Kitchen Puts Down Roots in Vista with New HQ

Harvest Kitchen is an organic, full-service catering company serving San Diego, Palm Springs, Joshua Tree and throughout Southern California. After 10 years of constant growth, they've just purchased a building in Vista where they can keep all kitchen operations and employees under one roof.⁠

Civics Bee Regional Vista Competition

The National Civics Bee application is open now through February 3rd!


This annual initiative – now expanding to all 50 states in celebration of America’s 250th anniversary in 2026 – invites middle school students to showcase their civics knowledge, engage in their communities, and build trust in others and institutions through a nonpartisan, multi-round competition.

Amex Shop Small Grants Program

The Amex Shop Small Grants Program offers $20,000 grants to help small businesses grow and strengthen their impact in their local communities. To qualify, applicants must operate a for-profit, independently owned brick-and-mortar business in the U.S. with 20 or fewer employees and an established storefront in place before 2025. Grant funding can support anything from major upgrades to new revenue opportunities, and all funds must be used during the April–September 2026 spending period. Learn more here.
