Las Valientes (the brave ones), established in 2001 by Dr. Ana Serrano, is a non-profit organization that helps women escape domestic violence by assisting them in matters such as obtaining restraining orders, filling out legal documents, and accompanying clients during court appearances.

The National Civics Bee application is open now through February 3rd!

This annual initiative – now expanding to all 50 states in celebration of America’s 250th anniversary in 2026 – invites middle school students to showcase their civics knowledge, engage in their communities, and build trust in others and institutions through a nonpartisan, multi-round competition.

City of Vista Logo Survey

At its January 13, 2026, meeting, the Vista City Council directed staff to gather community input as part of its consideration of a potential City logo redesign. Vista residents are invited to review each option and provide an advisory vote for their preferred design. You will also have the opportunity to share written comments. Your feedback will be presented to the City Council and will help inform its final decision. Fill out the form here.

Intuit QuickBooks x Mailchimp Small Business Hero Program

The Intuit QuickBooks and Mailchimp Small Business Hero Program awards $20,000 grants to U.S. small businesses with owners aged 18 or older that show courage, perseverance, and integrity. Three winners are chosen each quarter and receive both funding and resources to help grow their business. Nominations are open to anyone who wants to recognize a small business hero in their community. Learn more here.

On 12/23, (right before Christmas) a fire raged through our building. We’re incredibly grateful that no one was hurt, but the fire has left us with significant damage to our space and equipment, putting day-to-day operations on pause.
