We were sitting around the kitchen table the other night talking about, of all things, tables. One had moved west, ours is handmade, the one my daughter mentioned had a story… When she starts with “did I ever tell you?” you know it’s going to be entertaining. One of the young people in her crowd hated vegetables. Trying to be a good influence, she would put a “no thank you” helping on her plate. The vegetables disappeared, and when asked the youngster would say they were gone. My daughter figured that meant she had choked them down, as she never left the table or hid them in her napkin… As she got ready to work on a sewing project, she went to the shallow drawer, hidden under the top of the table, for her pins. It was a good place to store them, to keep them out of the reach of her pets. She opened the drawer, finding pins, needles, and dried up asparagus spears - lots of them. She definitely wins “strangest sewing space find” - and I want her to keep the title!
Wishing you pleasant little surprises this week,
Mary Beth
