This Saturday (9-19-26) those in our Applique Saturday Sampler program will meet at 9:00am. We will share the next kit in the series and helpful tips for making the next colorful, bold bloom in our Window Garden quilt. Your kit is our gift if you bring your completed block from last month to show!

Pillowcase Maker Reception

We are amazed by the number of pillowcases you made for Ryan’s Case for Smiles. To celebrate, we would love to have you join us for a little party on Saturday. Jelly Roll Day

Saturday ~ September 19th

Versatile Jelly Rolls, the famous Moda 2 1/2” wide cuts, will be the star of this Saturday celebration. We will premiere a new Jelly Roll sample (Mosaic Floor) and show another (Crooked Roads) in progress. You’ll be happy we’ve made the quilts - we’ve caught the construction issues! Select one of the patterns as our gift, and then head home to whip up something yummy with your Jelly Roll collection!

Cut Loose Press Day

Saturday ~ September 26th

Cut Loose Press patterns are unique in several ways. The patterns are presented on a single cardstock sheet (perfect to organize in a notebook) and feature techniques, and designs, that put Creative Grids rulers to work. From 1:00pm to 3:00pm, on the 26th, we will share three different demos that feature the rulers. We will show exactly how they work and explain why we think they are of value. This is a great way to learn a little about a tool you may not have seen before (or one you have but have never used!). Our special gift during the demo session will be a free in stock Cut Loose Press pattern. A little information, a little gift - how can you go wrong?! 

Look in your QC date book for a special day noted on September 21st. We marked the date but didn’t mention how very important it is to us. World Gratitude Day is a chance for individuals, organizations, and nations to express and share gratitude. The thought is that we would take a moment that day to think about things we are grateful for. I have a very long list that just happens to include fabric, and sewing, and you! On the 21st we will share a little gift of gratitude and a notecard you can use to spread grateful thoughts! 

The new fall fabrics have all been beautiful, and they keep on coming… This week Sandy Gervais’ Worth Repeating arrived. The charming flower, leaf, and stripe prints of the group are offered in shades of green, peach, and gold. The group also includes a panel featuring Sandy’s lovely artwork and words “Worth Repeating". At the quilt world trade show I was taken by the pattern Sandy created for the collection. Pillow Talk features the panel designs, and coordinating prints, in individual pillow wraps. A base pillow is made and then accented by a wrap. Use the same pillow over and over, changing the wraps for different looks!
