If you are registered for our beginning of the month 2026 pieced Saturday Sampler program your new quilt begins this Saturday (2-7-26!). The 9:00am meeting will be an introduction to the program, and the quilt we will be making. We will cover everything from background selection to the basics of machine piecing. There are lots of students in the session, which is wonderful, except for a few little issues - winter has seriously decreased the size of our parking lot, and temperatures on Saturday are, once again, going to be ugly!!! So, use great caution and dress for the weather - if you come with a group of friends maybe all ride together?... If there is an issue early Saturday, that would cause a change of plans, the information will be shared via email…

You read that correctly - the local hop is making a return! You’ll have chances to win prizes, and gather goodies, as you travel from shop to shop - eight stops this year! We’ll share lots more details as the hop gets closer - just thought you might want to save the dates now!

I think my favorite new fabric arrivals of the week might be the new batiks. When the outside world is so very cold and gloomy, they remind me that the sun will come out again. A bunch of tone on tone, and block printed ones, have been added to the batik section. Today I’m loving the Silver Shores pieces. We’ve worked them into a display with some other new watery blue options. That little section reminds me of the view from a sunny beach - I can pretend that’s where I am - right?!
