Youngest has admitted to herself that she now lives in a different city. Needing to renew her Real ID reinforced the realization. Funny, things don’t work the same in every city… Needing to have a paperwork question answered before venturing into the Real ID Supercenter (yup, it really is a supercenter), she debated where to call. The choices - the supercenter or a state office where she knew there would be an intern just wishing someone would call. The intern was thrilled to pieces, and really wished she had more questions. Armed with the correct paperwork, she stepped into the supercenter. First she was told to “stand” there. As she tried to understand why, her photo was snapped! No looking at the picture, no second try (maybe waiting a bit in Bridgeville wasn’t so bad…). The moving from spot to spot, and waiting then commenced. She entertained herself along the way by texting friends who commiserated about the awful photos on their Real IDs. After “ages” she was handed a piece of paper (not a laminated ID!) and told the real one would arrive in 8 business days. Oh, and she had to promise she would no longer use her PA one… When she finally looked at the temporary one, she got a surprise - best ID photo ever!
Maybe going with the flow in other situations would have similar, fantastic results - maybe when selecting fabrics for the next quilt?!
Hope your week is filled with unexpected pleasant surprises,
Mary Beth
