I’m not sure if you experience the same disconnect when it comes to quantity and scale as I do… When I walk into the shop most mornings I think we have “some” fabric, but I realize, after walking into others recently, we have lots! As you might expect, the same thing happens to me in other places too… I love going to the farmers market. The colors, the variety, the people - I feel lucky to be there. I approached a vendor last week and asked for kale. I hope my disappointment at the bunch she pulled for me didn’t show on my face. It was rather small compared to the others in the pile. It looked quite different at home! It was so big it wouldn’t fit in a grocery bag and took up an entire fridge shelf! We’ll be eating kale for weeks!
Maybe this is why I never have enough fabric to bind my quilts (kind of in reverse) - it seems like so much more when I see it at the cutting table!
Wishing you plenty of time to stitch in the coming week,
Mary Beth
