“Toi Là! Je t'aime!” (You there! I love you!) has become the motto of St. Barths. It's simply a tribute to the island's warm character and welcoming spirit. April 4-7, 2022, I headed to St. Barths with six luxury travel advisors to visit our boutique hotel, Le Tropical, which recently opened in December of 2021. The advisors were overjoyed with the welcoming spirit of our hotel and the island.
After our international flights to St. Martin (SXM), we took a puddle jumper plane for the 10-minute flight to St. Barths (SBH). After landing, it took less than 10 minutes to get through passport control and out the door where a staff member from Le Tropical was waiting with a smile to transport us on the 3-minute drive to the hotel.
The first thing we loved about Le Tropical was the location. The hotel sits slightly elevated on a hill overlooking St Jean Bay, a few hundred steps from Eden Roc, Nikki Beach, shopping and dining. The hotel not being beachfront is an afterthought to the prime location and easy access to St. Jean Bay.
