We started representing our wonderful DMC in Portugal, The Little Orange, in September 2022. It has been an incredible relationship between WanderLuxe and The Little Orange since, and it was time to take a group of advisors to experience Portugal and their services!
It was truly off the plane and running to begin our first day in beautiful Porto!
The beautiful and historical Villa Foz Hotel & Spa was our home-away-from-home while in Porto, and we checked in, did our site of this iconic gem set on the Atlantic (including a tour of their Michelin starred restaurant), and enjoyed a lovely lunch before setting out.
We stepped into Old Town Porto for a soap-making class at Claus Porto. This 186-year-old brand is revered by Oprah as well as garnering the most prestigious cosmetic awards worldwide.
It was then off to W&J Graham’s for a little history lesson on port wines (Ruby and Tawny) before a delicious tasting and dinner. While I was admittedly a skeptic considering ports are sweet, they were delicious and satisfying, and I’m now a fan!!
We literally fell into bed after such a full travel day, but were so excited to see what else Porto, a UNESCO World Heritage city, held for us!
