The Fourteenth Sunday After Pentecost, September 14, 2025,

8 AM and 10 AM Worship

A message from the Rector

Dear Friends,

On Monday evening of this week the Choir School of Newport County had their first rehearsal in our new building. Though we won’t dedicate the building until September 21st, we have been used in and using the space for several weeks now. The vestry met there on Tuesday, and various other planning meetings have taken place in our classrooms. It feels wonderful to have the building full of activity.

The night of the choir school rehearsal, however, was the first time the building was full of children. Jennifer Berton sent me this picture of their dinner time, which they had on the deck with the sun low on the horizon in the background.

While the efforts to build this building happened when I was not with you, I know enough to know a special moment happened on Monday: this space, bustling with energy and enthusiasm, and being used by members of our community.

I am so excited for just over a week from now, where the building will be full of children again – this time the children of our parish, as they gather and learn and grow in our Sunday School program. What a celebration that will be!

With gratitude,

Meaghan
