Dear Friends,
Terry Commodore approached me a couple of weeks ago about the possibility of sharing a message of gratitude with our congregation. As you can see throughout the rest of this email, we have LOTS going on at Trinity: events and ministries we hope you will participate in. Even with all we have happening, I could think of no better way to kick off this week's e-Tower than with her beautiful message about the heart of what it means to be a church community. I took myself off the prayer list a couple of weeks ago because I’m better. But it was a hard decision, and I needed time to understand why the decision was so weighted. Chatting with a friend after Worship a couple of weeks ago, I realized why dropping one’s name from the prayer list is bittersweet: I have never felt more loved. Prayer brings no judgement, no expectations… just caring… just support… just love.
So, thank you all for praying for me. Thank you for the cloud of love that has surrounded me through this journey. Thank you for manifesting the blessing of living in community.
We don’t know whether my cancer is gone forever, but I know that I am more than well. I am better, and I thank you all.

Silver Tea Crafting Begins
This Week!
Attention Silver Tea Crafters! One of Trinity’s longstanding traditions, our annual Silver Tea event, will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2026, from 1– 4 PM in the Hawes Room.
Do you have a secret talent that we don’t know about? Do you do needlecraft, sewing, knitting, painting, woodworking, jewelry making, ceramics, mixed media, or any other type of craft? If so, we are looking for your donation of handicrafts to be for sale on the artisan table at the tea!
Join us on Tuesday afternoons, beginning on September 15th, at 12:30 PM in the Hawes Room. Either bring your own project to work on and enjoy good company and fellowship, or help us to complete items that will be available for sale on that day. Questions? Contact: Chris Pimentel or Deb Lengyel

Trinity Pumpkin Patch Supports Local Efforts to Assist Vulnerable Residents
Fall is in the air and the Trinity Church Pumpkin Patch is just around the corner! On October 6th a truck will deliver over one thousand pumpkins to the Church and the Trinity lawn will be transformed into a Pumpkin Patch where shoppers can search for the perfect jack-o’-lantern. Delicious baked goods like apple cider donuts and pumpkin treats and both hot and cold cider are also available for sale at the Patch. Proceeds from the weeks-long effort benefit local organizations that alleviate suffering in our community. Last year for example, the Pumpkin Patch provided contributions to the McKinney Shelter, Conexion Latina, the Seaman’s Institute, Lucy’s Hearth, the Martin Luther King Center, and other entities that provide assistance to our neighbors in need.
According to founders and organizers of the Trinity Pumpkin Patch, Diane Myers and Debbie Lengyel, volunteers are needed for a variety of jobs to make this year’s effort a success. Crucially, people are needed to help unload the pumpkins and to set up after they are delivered on October 6th. As well, volunteers are required to assist in staffing the Patch; they work in two-hour shifts during the time the Pumpkin Patch is in operation.
The Pumpkin Patch will be open until Hallowe’en. Hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday 12-6. Weekends & Wednesdays, 10-6. In addition, helpers are needed to dismantle the Patch after our last day on October 31. Finally, bakers are sought to make sweet treats for sale at the Pumpkin Patch. Please consider contributing your precious time to the Trinity Pumpkin Patch this year as we work to support local efforts to care for our neighbors. Your participation will help make the Pumpkin Patch a success!
