The Eighth Sunday After Pentecost, August 3, 2025, 8 AM and 10 AM Worship

A Message from the Rector

It is my first official day as your rector, and I am delighted to be here! I was busy in the month of July traveling and connecting with family and friends, but you have never been far from my mind and heart, so I am relieved to finally begin this ministry with you.

I know that July was busy for the church as well, with so many people working with care and intention to keep everything moving during this “in between” time. I am so impressed by the way this community has listened for God and had the courage to act on what was heard, even amid constant changes. I’m humbled and grateful that part of that listening led to me coming to serve you as priest.

I am looking forward to our worship together on Sunday. Thank you to all who are helping make Sunday morning special and welcoming for me. I am eager to meet those of you I don’t already know, and to reconnect with those of you I do know. Most of all, I can’t wait to join my voice with your voices as we sing and pray to God together, giving thanks, gathering at the table, and being renewed in the work we have been given to do.

With gratitude,

Meaghan

Endings are also beginnings

We are coming to the end of one part of Trinity’s journey as people of a loving God, and beginning another chapter as we welcome The Reverend Meaghan Kelly Brower as Rector.

Everywhere I go folks are excited for us, and for Meaghan, as we start this part of our journey together. I hope that you will welcome her as you have welcomed me, and find ways to help Trinity become what is next for us – with God’s help. And please remember that, even as we prepare to celebrate 300 years of this building being a beacon of God’s light in the world, the building is not the church – we are the church. God’s people gathered to worship and love each other and love the beautiful part of the world we are in.

Another beginning will be the start of the year for Education for Ministry (EfM). It is a four year program based on Scripture, History of the Church, and our role as followers of Jesus. We meet Tuesday evenings, during the school year, at St. Columba’s in Middletown, and there is room for a few more participants. Please look it up on line – Click on Sewanee.edu EfM and find all the information you will need. And please ask me about it if you are interested.

Blessings, The Reverend Noël Robinson (July 25, 2025)

with wine and cheese

An Organ Study Committee was formed in the summer of 2024, to explore the question of what would it take to build a new Organ for Trinity - in conjunction with the 300th Anniversary of our building in 2026. After consulting five prominent builders, we have signed a design contract with the Fisk Organ Co of Gloucester MA, and we would like to share our ideas for the future of Music at Trinity with the Congregation and the Community.
