The Fifth Sunday After Pentecost, July 13, 2025, 8 AM and 10 AM Worship

An Opportunity for Hospitality

David and I went to Trinity to watch the fireworks. The lawn behind the Church was packed with people who brought chairs, blankets, kids, dogs! The city part of the park was also full.

What a great opportunity to show Trinity’s wonderful hospitality – cookies and lemonade, for example. Any other suggestions? Maybe patriotic lemonade – red, white and blue!

When the fireworks went off, everyone had to move down closer to the water, but for a good while there were many potential customers and new friends for Trinity. And we have a year to plan. Hope to see you then! (and before).

New Building Update

As you may have noticed the construction of our new Education and Administration Building is in its final stages. They have completed the interior except for minor touchup painting. The Belmont Memorial has been installed in its new location. The mechanical, plumbing, and electrical work is complete. Behan Bros’ team is finishing the decking and walkways this week. We are expecting to get the Certificate of Occupancy by July 21st. The plan is to have the office furniture moved into the new building in preparation for Rector Meaghan Brower joining Trinity on August 1st.

This building is Phase Two of our plan. Phase One was the renovation and upgrade of the Honyman Hall kitchen, so we could support our expanding Community Meal Program. Phase Two includes, creating classroom space for our expanding Sunday School Program, providing easy access to the Rector and staff for everyone in the congregation, and providing ADA approved access to our facilities.

Please consider helping us complete the new building without a loan.

Scammers Are Phishing Again

Please be cautious of text messages and emails from un-known sources. A parishioner received an email from "Rev. Timothy Safford" BUT the email address (leadpastor502@gmail.com) was not his email. PLUS, the message was vague and generic. The staff of Trinity would not ask for your assistance without clear purpose. We would never ask for gift cards or $$$. Do not respond to these text or emails. Better to Report as SPAM and Block.

Trinity Church Reading Group:

At our final meeting before our summer break, we decided to read the following two books over the summer.

"Why We Remember: Unlocking Memory’s Power To Hold On To What Matters", by Charan Ranganath The author takes us on a tour of the mind and the brain and how memory plays in nearly every aspect of our lives.

"The British Are Coming", by Rick Atkinson This is the first in his trilogy of the American Revolution, taking us through the first 21 months of the Revolution. The saga is full riveting details and untold stories of the first chapter of our country’s history

Enjoy the summer, as we have enjoyed our meetings together, and we will meet again after Labor Day in September.

Cheers,

Anne
