A message from the Rector
Dear Friends,
We have now been in our new building for two weeks, and we are slowly finding our groove in this wonderful new space. We've learned how to use the new alarm system (mostly), the boxes are unpacked (mostly), and we are becoming more comfortable calling this new space our office.
If you come by the office during the week, the front door should be unlocked during office hours (try the door on the right). We are still working on signage, and some kind of doorbell or alert system, and we appreciate your patience as we work out all of the small details that come with a new building.
The building won't truly feel like the center for ministry that it is until our building dedication on Homecoming Sunday, September 21st (see Norris' message below). While the building still needs some furniture, systems, and signs, what it really needs is the people of this church who will bring this building to life. We can't wait to celebrate with you, and to give thanks to God and to all of the people who made this project possible. We really can't wait for these rooms to be filled with children who will learn, laugh, and sing together. Already this space has been used for meetings as we dream of what is next for Trinity and listen for what God is calling us to next. This is such an exciting time in the life of this parish, and I'm so honored to be part of it as your rector.
With gratitude,
Meaghan

SAVE THE DATE
Homecoming and Building Dedication
On September 21st, following the 10 A.M. service, we will celebrate Homecoming and dedicate our new Education and Administration Building. We will announce the official name of the building and share a congregational picnic. Members of the congregation will also have an opportunity to volunteer for teams that support the life at Trinity. The Vestry will be providing burgers, hot dogs and bbq ribs. We are asking families to bring a dish to share. Pam Alexander and Alex Day have agreed to coordinate the picnic. Please let them know what you plan to bring, so we have some variety. Click on their name above and send them an email.

Altar Society
The Altar Society is looking for donations of small to medium vases or vessels! Each Sunday after services, the altar flowers are delivered to Trinity parishioners who might need of a "boost" to brighten their day, letting them know that we are thinking of them and that they are missed amongst us, or to help them celebrate a special occasion. If flowers are going to homes, they typically go out in "sleeves", but to hospitals or nursing homes, we use the small vases.
Should you find yourselves with any spare vases that you are willing to part with, they can be dropped off into the sacristy on any Sunday morning or whenever the church is open, or to the hallway of Honyman.
We thank you! ~Altar Society

Available Columbarium Niche
Members of Trinity Church,
Columbarium niche number 7 has become available. The cost for this niche is $2850/person. The cost for carving the appropriate lettering and dates on the stone and opening and closing the niche shall be the responsibility of the purchaser, their family or their estate.
Since several individuals have expressed interest in the available niche, those interested should notify the Senior Warden, in writing, by September 8th. At that time, we will randomly select the individual who will be given the opportunity to acquire the niche. That individual or family will be presented with the Columbarium Guidelines and Agreement. If you have any questions, want to review the Guidelines and Agreement, or want to express your interest, please send an email to SeniorWarden@TrinityNewport.org.
